Styling
Patriot's timeless, purpose-built design includes simple geometric forms along with the Jeep brand's signature seven-slot grille, round headlights and trapezoidal wheel arches with a high-tech 21st century look.
Major upgrade. Jeep® Patriot raised the bar in refinement, polish and comfort with a fresh new interior redesign that includes softer and higher-grade materials, bright chrome accents and more.
The makeover starts up front with a new instrument panel with LED-backlight gauges with chrome wrap and smoother dashboard using high-grade plastic materials (read softer). A chrome bezel on the centre stack and new rounded chrome accent rings on the redesigned circular vents are standard on Limited.
The redecorating continues with new seat fabrics with French-seam accent stitching that are sure to catch the eye, thoughtfully designed door trim panels including padded door armrests and soft-touch plastics and a new centre console that includes a split lid for additional storage.
And finally, adding to the love is a new, carpeted cargo floor (replaces the vinyl load floor).
Elbows rejoice! Patriot's new soft-touch door armrest is covered in a soothingly supple texture for your driving pleasure. Comfy.

Conveniences
Fold Flat Seats
Friends. Gear. Adventure. Patriot’s clever two-box design with liftgate provides room for up to five adults, gear, and tons of adventure. Standard on both models are the 60/40-split fold-flat rear seat and fold flat passenger seat, allowing multiple load configurations for ultimate flexibility and utility.
Rear Reclining Seats
Both Patriot models come standard with a 12-degree recline feature for enhanced rear seat comfort.
Heated Leather Seats
Limited’s standard leather-trimmed interior with eye-catching French-seam accent stitching includes heated front seats for warmth on cold days and soothing comfort for sore muscles and backs.
Patriot’s Stain Repel[1] stain-, odour- and static-resistant fabric helps keep seats fresh and clean longer than ever before. This advanced fabric withstands spot cleaning, even repeatedly in the same location – to retain like-new colour and texture over time.
Fill it up. Patriot's interior was designed to demonstrate the rarest blend of versatility and accommodation with 536-litres of cargo capacity with the rear seat up, and impressive 1,357-litres with rear seats folded.
This vehicle also sports utility. With multiple storage areas to store your gear including an extra large bin above the glove compartment, generous glove box, commodious centre console, door pockets and numerous storage compartments.
And there are plenty of bag hooks for holding recycled bags when grocery shopping.
Patriot's easy-to-read LED gauge cluster offers outstanding nighttime visibility, with a cool looking and soothing green glow.
The available premium Tyre Pressure Monitoring Display, part of the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC), features individual tyre pressure monitoring that automatically checks each tyre for proper inflation and alerts the driver if low or excessive tyre pressure is detected. EVIC displays crucial stats like average fuel consumption, distance to empty, compass, outside temperature, a trip computer, driver alerts and more.
Lost your keys in the dark? Easy. Simply unsnap the portable flashlight from the headliner and it just might save the night. The flashlight battery conveniently recharges when mounted in the headliner.

Amplify your ride with Patriot’s standard Media Centre radios. Sport comes with the Media Centre 135 CD/DVD/MP3 Radio with Audio Jack and Limited comes with the Media Centre 235 which steps up to a six-disc CD/DVD/MP3 player.
For those with even more demanding tastes, you can opt for the Technology Group that provides full-screen GPS navigation and premium audio features. The Uconnect™ Navigation Media Centre 731N is command central, offering a 16.5cm touchscreen and a 30GB hard disc drive that allows you to store thousands of songs, select playlists and display photos. Other features include Uconnect Phone[1] and iPod® Control.

Capability
The standard 125 kW 2.4-litre engine has loads of smooth, quiet, fuel-efficient power, with high-revving highway-passing muscle when needed. The strong and efficient engine employs dual overhead cams (DOHC) and dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT) on both intake and exhaust camshafts. The electronically controlled timing is continuously adjusted to provide either maximum power or fuel efficiency - depending upon the demands of that instant.
Five-Speed Manual
Patriot's smooth shifting five-speed manual transaxle mates beautifully with the 2.4-litre engine for powerful acceleration, outstanding fuel economy, and solid overall performance.
CVT Transaxle with Auto Stick®
The available Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is a great choice for those that want a more relaxed driving experience. A CVT is free of the constraints of traditional fixed-ratio automatic transmissions. It can choose the best ratio for any driving condition, thereby operating at optimum efficiency and providing improved fuel economy and performance.
If you however do want to take the reigns, Auto Stick allows for either fully automatic shifting or driver-interactive manual control with six simulated stepped-gear ratios. Auto Stick allows you to maximise engine braking, control upshifts and downshifts, and add to overall driving performance.
When it comes to balancing power and fuel economy, Jeep takes this capability as seriously as the traditional traits one expects from a legendary Jeep vehicle. With 125 kW and 220 N.m on tap, the new Patriot delivers the performance you need without the penalty at the pump. In fact, with fuel economy as low as 6.7L per 100 kilometres[1], Patriot can travel over 700 km between stops during highway touring.
Mountain switchbacks. Parallel parking. Evasive manoeuvres. Patriot offers smooth, agile, and responsive handling thanks to its new independent MacPherson strut front and multi-link independent rear suspension. Patriot also features unique shock turning and high-strength steel springs for capable handling on mountain switchback and evasive manoeuvres. Parallel parking is made easy thanks to Patriot’s standard rack and pinion steering.

For light off-road capability, Patriot features the Freedom-Drive™ active full-time four-wheel drive (4WD) with LOCK mode. It’s designed to give drivers year-round assurance, as well as the ability to handle rough weather and low-traction conditions such as rain and snow. When the system’s 4WD LOCK handle is engaged, torque is sent equally to the front and rear axles for improved low-speed traction and control.
Hill Start Assist[2]
Patriot’s standard Hill-Start Assist employs automatic braking to help get you safely up each mountain or over rolling city streets.
You already know that Patriot allows you to conquer any terrain, but it can also tow a healthy 1,500 kg[3] when properly equipped. And for added strength, one-piece Mopar® hitch receivers have a welded assembly that can match your vehicle's towing capacity.

The system automatically applies individual brakes or controls the throttle to help you stay safely on course. When you don't want the extra hand, ESC[2] is specially tuned for performance handling so you can switch it off.
Patriot's four-wheel Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) includes Brake Assist and All-speed Traction Control to help you maintain vehicle control during emergency braking. ABS modulates the brakes to reduce stopping distances and improve steering control under braking.
Special off-road calibration provides sustained lockup on surfaces like mud or gravel for improved braking, and aid in trail driving when in four-wheel-drive Off-Road mode.
Anticipating the need for additional traction, Patriot's Freedom Drive™ four-wheel drive system automatically responds to wheel slippage by transferring power equally to the front and rear wheels, improving vehicle stability.
The Sentry Key® engine immobiliser is a convenient feature that provides additional safety when entering the vehicle at night. It's a great feature that makes sure your vehicle never goes anywhere without your permission.
