Important Information regarding the Chrysler Jeep Dodge vehicle database.

At times, vehicles are subject to product recalls.  A recall is when the manufacturer asks for a vehicle to be brought in to a factory approved service centre to have necessary work carried out at no cost to the owner.  Recalls can, from time to time, affect product safety. 

If Chrysler Jeep Dodge do not know the location of a vehicle it becomes impossible for us to send out recall notifications and this necessary work can slip through the net.  This can happen if you move house and don't let us know, or if a vehicle is sold to a second or third owner who then does not bring the vehicle to a factory approved service centre.

If you think that your vehicle might not be on the Chrysler database for any reason it is important that you let us know.  If you are not the first owner and if you have not been to see a factory approved service centre we invite you to come and see us obligation free so that we can update the Chrysler database with your vehicles information and check for any recalls that might have slipped through the net.

A note about software...

Just like a computer, your vehicles' technology needs to have its software updated from time to time.  In the same way that it is important for you to regularly check the oil levels in your car to maintain its best performance, it is also important to plug it in to the Chrysler network and find out what software updates need to be made.

Software updates provide better overall performance for your vehicle, they also help with fuel economy and general safety of the car.

If your vehicle is regularly serviced at a factory approved service department, such as the Chrysler Jeep Dodge Service Department at Bunbury Auto Group, then any relevant software updates will be performed each time you visit.  Service centres that are not factory backed by Chrysler Jeep Dodge do not have the necessary equipment required to perform software checks and updates, so whilst they will be able to maintain the "hardware", they are not able to thoroughly maintain the software.

We would like to invite all Chrysler Jeep and Dodge owners with vehicles manufactured between 1997 and the present who do not  regularly use a factory approved service centre to book your vehicle in with Bunbury Auto Group for a Software Check.  We will provide a report on all software that has been updated.   Whilst your vehicle is undergoing software updates, we will also perform a complementary Safety Check.
